Wagons for the German market: successful cooperation, followed by the high quality product

The Company ĐĐ SPECIJALNA VOZILA d.d. delivered the fourth contingent of thirty freight wagons type Faccns on 14.03.2012. and thus ended the production of the contracts signed with German  buyers in 2011. year.

Handover and delivery was performed in the presence of representatives of the buyer and end-user wagons who expressed satisfaction with successful cooperation, followed by the high quality product.

Delivered third contingent of freight wagons Faccns

According to the Contract with German buyer the company Đuro Đaković Specijalna vozila d.d., 29.02.2012. conducted the handover and delivery of the third contingent of thirty freight wagons type Faccns.

Delivery of the remaining amount of Faccns freight wagons for German customers is planned in mid-March 2012.

Delivery of freight wagons Shimmns ttu

According to the Contract with the French buyer on manufacturing and delivery of 45 freight wagons Shimmns ttu, the company ĐURO ĐAKOVIĆ SPECIJALNA VOZILA d.d. delivered the second shipment of fifteen Shimmns ttu wagons on 26.01.2012.

Shimmns ttu is a specialized four-axled wagon designed for transport of tin coils for automobile industry and represents modernization of the Shimmns wagon, previously developed in ĐĐSV, which was also marketed towards the Western-European buyers in the period 2008-2009.

Modernization of the wagon is the result of development in the company, and it made it possible to operate the wagon more easily, the wagon is more reliable, and most importantly, the carrying capacity of the wagon is bigger.      

Delivery of Faccns freight wagons

After the delivery and acceptance testing and final inspection by the supervisor appointed by the buyer, ĐĐ SPECIJALNA VOZILA d.d delivered thirty freight wagons of the type Faccns on 25th January 2012. The wagons were manufactured according to the contracts with the German customers signed in 2011, equivalent amount of which is more than 68 million kuna net.

The Faccns wagon is a four-axled freight wagon designed for transport of bulk load (sand, gravel etc.) of various granulations. The wagon is equipped with a pneumatic system for dosed emptying along the track (levelling of railway paths) or on a conveyor belt for further transport with other means of transportation.

The Faccns wagon, originally developed and manufactured in ĐĐ SPECIJALNA VOZILA d.d., is certified according to the existing TSI standards and fulfils the requests of the newest technical and safety standards, as well as specific requests of the buyer, and with its characteristics it is suitable for use on all European railways with a normal track.

Delivery of Shimmns freight wagons

According to the Contract for manufacturing and delivery of freight wagons Shimmns ttu with the French company NACCO s.a.s., ĐURO ĐAKOVIĆ Specijalna vozila d.d. has delivered the first of three contracted wagon batches.

Shimmns ttu wagon is designed for transport of tin coils for automobile industry, and in comparison with the previously manufactured wagons, this one was modernized by building-in a new mechanism for fixing the tin coils during transport and increasing the wagon payload. Redesign of the wagon was completely carried out in ĐĐSV.

Changes in the wagon construction required at the same time carrying out activities for issuing the new TSI certificate and Approval for the use of the wagon.

The future deliveries are planned for December 2011 and January 2012.

Contract on production and delivery of freight wagons of the Falns series, between the German company EURO-WAGGON GmbH, Swiss company DIVERSIFIED INVESTMENTS S.A. and ĐĐ Specijalna vozila d.d.

Increased activities in March and April and intensive negotiations with the German company EURO-WAGGON GmbH and Swiss company DIVERSIFIED INVESTMENTS S.A. about production and delivery of freight wagons have resulted in signing two contracts on production and delivery of freight wagons of the Falns type.

Total contract value that refers to the contract on production and delivery of freight wagons of the Falns type, signed with the company EURO-WAGGON GmbH, is worth 2,8 million EUR, whereas the value of the contract signed with the company DIVERSIFIED INVESTMENTS S.A. amounts 1,2 million EUR.

The contract refers to the series of specialised 4-axled wagons intended for transportation of bulk loads that are not sensitive to weather conditions, such as coal, sand, coke, ore, etc.

Contract on production and delivery of freight wagons of the Shimmns series between the French company NACCO S.A.S. and ĐĐ Specijalna vozila d.d.

Continuation of the business cooperation with the French company NACCO S.A.S. from Paris has resulted in signing a contract on production and delivery of freight wagons of the Shimmns type.

Total deal value is 2,58 million EUR. The contract was signed between Mr David MacNaughton, president of the board of the company NACCO S.A.S. and Mr Bartol Jerković, director of ĐĐ Specijalna vozila d.d.

The contract refers to a series of modern, specialized wagons for transportation of steel coils, certified according to the current TSI system for conventional trans-European rail system, the production of which ĐĐ Specijalna vozila d.d. started during the year 2007.

Freight Wagon Faccns Prototype Manufacturing

Only three months after the contract was signed, project and constructional documentation was made and two Faccns prototype wagons intended for sand and gravel transport were made.

After the internal measurements and testings were carried out, the wagons were sent to the Institute, so that their characteristics could be tested according to the TSI regulations. End of the testing is planned till the end of June, and the delivery of the first wagon series will be in September 2011.

The Faccns wagon that was designed and manufactured in DDSV has several advantages, the most important of all being significantly larger useful capacity of the tank with the same wagon dimensions, as well as the possibility of dumping funnel telescopic extension and use of the belt conveyor for reloading onto the other mean of transportation.

It is realistic to expect that the above mentioned and other advantages of the Faccns wagons manufactured in DDSV will be recognized by wagon users as a competitive advantage during future contracting.

ĐĐ Specijalna vozila on the international Adriatic Sea Defense & Aerospace Fair ASDA 2011

The company Đuro Đaković Specijalna vozila d.d. took part in the international Adiatic Sea Defense & Aerospace Fair that took place in Split from 29th till 31st March 2011.

At the Fair, which for the first time gathered about 130 exhibitors from 20 countries, Đuro Đaković Specijalna vozila d.d. showed for the first time the armoured fighting vehicle AMV 8x8 with remote control weapon station of the company Kongsberg.

The display area of the company was visited by the Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor, Croatian President Ivo Josipović, Minister of Defence Davor Božinović, as well as numerous domestic and international delegations.

ĐĐ Specijalna vozila on International Defence Exhibition and Conference IDEX 2011

In the organization of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK), ĐĐ Specijalna vozila d.d. took part in the International Defence Exhibition and Conference IDEX 2011, which was held in Abu Dhabi between the 20th and 24th February  2011. In addition to the presentation of the product range of the company, the Fair was the opportunity for the talks between the representatives of ĐĐ Specijalna vozila d.d. and the Finnish Patria, connected with the development of further mutual cooperation in the production of armoured fighting vehicles.

Export of Faccns freight wagons to Germany

As a result of intensified activities in German market research and intensive negotiations carried out during the last week, the company ĐURO ĐAKOVIĆ SPECIJALNA VOZILA d.d. and the company On Rail Gesellschaft für Vermietung und Verwaltung von Eisenbahnwaggons GmbH, concluded on February 23rd 2011 in Slavonski Brod the contract on production and delivery of freight wagons of the type Faccns.

The contract is worth 9 million EUR, and it was signed by Mr. Ulrich Swertz, President of the Board of ORV GmbH and Mr. Bartol Jerković, President of the Board of ĐĐ Specijalna vozila d.d.

The contract refers to the series of four-axled freight wagons for transport of sand and gravel of various size ranges. The wagon is equipped with a pneumatic system for dosed discharging along the track line (track line maintenance) or on a conveyer belt for further transportation by other means of transportation.
Originally developed in ĐĐ Specijalna vozila d.d., the Faccns wagon meets the requirements of the latest technical and safety standards, as well as specific requirements of the buyer, and with its characteristics it can be used for transport on all European railways with standard gauge.
